Penrith-based homebuilder Genesis Homes has continued its rapid growth, hiring experienced Site Manager Robbie Maxwell.
Originally from Carlisle, Robbie moved away from home for six years to work as a Site Manager for Barrett Homes and Story Homes. Robbie jumped at the opportunity to return to his home county and start work for an innovative young company.
As Site Manager, Robbie is responsible for all aspects of running the construction site, from managing deliveries and logistics, to organising tradesmen and subcontractors – most of whom are drawn from the local area.
Robbie said: “Most of our subcontractors are local lads. It’s great to see jobs being created in Cumbria and giving a good boost to the local economy.”
Genesis Homes has already created over 50 new local jobs, including 16 jobs headquartered at their stylish new offices in Penrith.
Managing Director Nicky Gordon said “We’re very pleased to welcome Robbie to Genesis Homes. His considerable experience and attention to detail will make a valuable contribution to our skilled team.”
Robbie is pleased to be able to put his stamp on every stage of the construction process and is relishing the opportunity to work on premium-quality homes.
“It’s something I noticed the first time I drove up to see the sites – these are absolute top-quality homes. You really notice the quality in the little details…the doors, the windows, the finishings inside,” Robbie said.
When he’s not working, Robbie is an avid mountain biker and enjoys carving up the trails around Keswick and Newcastle. He also enjoys scuba diving on trips abroad and locally in Capernwray.
